Writing out my to-do list, I noticed that there was a connection between two of the tasks. If one was done, it would help ease the difficulty of another.

For example, by starting my business course, I would be able to complete both the strategic plan I am doing for/with Callie (which is a part of my LCA Coaching Course goals) along with my own strategic plan (also part of my other set of goals). This would in turn assist with my service design…again doubling up on purpose.

Given how I did not like the notion doing the business unit, and heading into the ‘realistic’ expectations mode, outlining the underlying structure of my to-do list and being able to see leverage points really helped me feel energised to start. As if by magic, working on this one thing could ripple out.

A systems-thinking practice sheet with headings and sections for experiments, tools, and reflections, accompanied by handwritten notes and doodles.

I think I would have liked to have known this is what I was going to do when I started the list, I wouldn’t have done it on a post-it note! Though it is possible that it is precisely this reason that I was able to connect to the habits, as I had been struggling earlier this morning…this made it less pressure.
